Cargo ship carrying 4,000 luxury cars sinks off the Azores

A cargo ship that was carrying thousands of luxury cars has sunk off the Portuguese Azores archipelago, nearly two weeks after it caught fire. The ship, named Felicity Ace, was transporting around 4,000 cars such as Porsches and Bentleys. The vessel was on its way to Rhode Island in the United States from the German port of Emden when the fire broke out.

Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations on Wednesday delivered a carefully worded speech at the emergency session of the UNGA, calling for de-escalation of tensions and sustained dialogue.

Interior minister, Sheikh Rasheed lashed out at India, blaming his country’s enemies for attempting to sabotage the historic Australian cricket tour. Authorities believe death threats sent to Ashton Agar’s partner originated in India and the high ranking politician indicated it was something similar which caused New Zealand to abandon its tour on the morning of the first game in September.

The Tinder Swindler is now being sued by the real Israeli tycoon Lev Leviev 

The Tinder Swindler, Simon Leviev (birth name Shimon Hayut) is now being sued by the family of billionaire and Israeli tycoon Lev Leviev who is known as the King of Diamonds. The Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler showed how Simon identified himself as the only son of the diamond businessman and used family photos and their luxury living to lure women into giving him money.

‘Double standards’: Western media draws criticism for racist coverage of Ukraine war

Western media and political figures have been accused of double standards for using their outlets to not only commend Ukraine’s armed resistance to Russian troops, but also to underlying their horror at how such a conflict could happen to a “civilised” nation. Visually impaired, Tanveer Ahmed wins first-ever silver medal in World Championships for Pakistan

Pakistan’s Tanveer Ahmed, a visually impaired archer has made history this week by winning the first-ever silver medal in the World Archery Para Championships.  This is the first time two visually impaired Pakistani archers have participated in the world championship. Previously, Ahmed and his teammate Waleed Aziz had not contested a single tournament outside their country.

Pakistan Army promotes first Hindu officer to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel

In a first, Pakistan Army has promoted a Hindu officer Kelash Kumar to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He is the first Hindu to attain this position in the Pakistan Army. Kumar’s rank was upgraded from major to lieutenant colonel during the promotion boards. He passed out from the Pakistan Military Academy and was serving in the army’s medical corps.
