India govt threatens foreign players to withdraw from Kashmir Premier League

In response to Indian pressure, English players have pulled out of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL). India has threatened the English and Welsh Cricket Board (ECB) that they will suspend their players from playing in their country if they let them travel to Pakistan for the KPL. Moreover, Sri Lanka’s Dilshan and South Africa’s Herschelle Gibbs were told that the KPL would now only have local players.

The Punjab government makes Holy Quran teaching compulsory for students of classes I-XII throughout the province. In a notification today, it was stated that students from basic education through class V would receive an education in Quranic Naazrah. Additionally, the remaining classes will be taught Quran with translation. In 2021, a law passed by the government mandated that all public and private schools teach Muslims the Holy Quran.

PM fires senior FBR official for approving 58M income tax refunds illegally

Imran Khan has dismissed a senior Inland Revenue official (Grade-20) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). He was found guilty of approving income tax refunds worth Rs. 58,606,508 to a company without complying with laws and regulations. Americans are subject to residing country’s laws, says US embassy in Pakistan

The official of the US Embassy in Pakistan clarified that Americans are subject to the laws in a foreign country. In addition, it stated that the Embassy can check on Americans who have been arrested abroad, and provide a list of lawyers. However, cannot provide legal advice, participate in court proceedings, or facilitate their release.
