NCOC sets Aug 31 deadline for vaccines for students, government employees, and LEAs

In sectors that deal with the public, the NCOC set an August 31 deadline for all staff to be vaccinated. Asad Umar said at a press conference after a meeting at the NCOC that the government aims to reach 1 million vaccinations daily. This objective cannot be achieved without the assistance of the general public, he said.

Students, teachers, transporters, government workers, hotel staff, and staff of police agencies require vaccinations before the end of next month. Moreover, anyone who is not vaccine-compliant by August 1 won’t be allowed to teach. Public safety protocols must be followed, he warned, otherwise the situation could get worse.
