Margalla Hills National Park to get Pakistan’s first Asian leopard reserve

A special adviser to the prime minister on climate change said the country will soon announce its first-ever Asian leopard reserve in Margalla Hills National Park. Amin Aslam said the protected area has become a permanent new home for wild cats. The wild cats used to descend to the National Park during winter and return to higher altitudes during summer.

Pakistani Mixed Martial Arts fighter secures Gold Medal at Asian MMA Championships

The Pakistani mixed martial artist Shahzaib Khan has won a Gold Medal at the GAMMA Asian MMA Championships 2021. The competition took place between August 24 and 28 in Kyrgyzstan. Khan qualified for the final by defeating the Indian fighter in the semi-final. In the finals, he set a record by defeating his Kyrgyz opponent in under a minute.

Two Pak Army soldiers martyred in Afghanistan cross-border attack

ISPR reported on Sunday that two Pakistani Army soldiers were martyred during a cross-border attack. Terrorists from Afghanistan across the international border opened fire on a military post in Bajaur. Two Pakistani soldiers, Sepoy Jamal from Mardan, and Sepoy Ayaz from Chitral lost their lives during the exchange of fire. Troops of the Pakistan Army responded accordingly.

To ensure proper patient care, KP Govt bans use of mobile phones in hospitals

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has prohibited the use of mobile phones in all government and private hospitals. To ensure that patients receive undivided attention, the authority also ordered the staff to turn off their phones before entering the wards. Mobile phones and other electronic devices were prohibited in gynecology and occupational therapy (OT) wards.

Ahsan Qayyum, a miniature artist who claims the World Record, created the world’s tiniest vacuum cleaner. He had to attempt three times before he finally broke the world record after 11 months. Qayyum gained recognition by Guinness World Records for the world’s tiniest vacuum cleaner, measuring 1.3cm in diameter. He breaks the three records held by Indian miniature artists.

‘Something can happen at Afghan border but we are ready’, says DG ISPR

The Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Major General Babar Iftikhar, addressed a press briefing on the Afghan crisis. Pakistan sent protective suits, face masks, ICU & BiPAP ventilators to Palestine

Earlier this week, Pakistan contributed medical supplies to support the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic in Palestine and Kazakhstan. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) announced in a couple of tweets that Pakistan has “given 10K Protective Suits, 100K Face Masks, 25 ICU Ventilators, and 100 BiPAP Ventilators to Palestine”. The equipment will be transported to Palestine by the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

Pakistani squash player Zahab Kamal Khan set a new world record by donating her hair to charity in Northern Virginia. Moreover, the squash player, who was also one of the longest-haired athletes, donated her six feet and three inches of hair. The 30-year-old got her first haircut since she was 13. She donated her hair to help children suffering from hair loss.
