Pakistani artist to unveil world’s largest Holy Quran at Expo 2020 Dubai

Shahid Rassam is a Pakistani artist who has created the world’s largest Holy Quran, slated to appear at Dubai Expo 2020. It is the first of its kind in over 1,400 years of Islamic history cast on canvas with an inscription on aluminum. The UAE-based Pakistani businessman Irfan Mustafa facilitates the move of Rassam, a Pakistani expatriate in the UAE.

The artist began developing the project five years ago and will display part of it at the six-month Dubai Expo. His recent accomplishments include inscribing the 99 names of Allah in aluminum and gold-plated letters. Taking the frame out, the Holy Quran measures 8.5 feet high and 6.5 feet wide. There will be 150 words per page, and it will have 550 pages.
