Medical student working as clown gets job, free treatment for her mother from Punjab Govt

Saima Sarwar, a dropout medical student who turned street clown for her mother’s treatment, has received help from the Punjab government. The interview with a local web channel went viral and attracted the attention of the provincial government. Saima was presented with a financial aid check and an employment letter from DC Lahore on Monday.

Saima Sarwar, working as a clown on Lahore’s Mall Road went viral after being exposed by social media spheres. On the streets of Lahore, Saima donned a clown costume and was selling artifacts. Saima was a medical student who aspired to become a doctor someday. Her life turned upside down when her parents and two brothers died within three years. She had no one else to care for her ill mother but herself.
