Momina Aamir asked her father for a bionic arm in honor of Elsa in an emotionally moving display of the character’s magical influence. She was born without a right arm because of a genetic condition.

Police and justice are the most corrupt institutions in the nation, according to Transparency International Pakistan’s National Corruption Perception Survey 2021. The survey showed that a majority of people find the federal government’s self-accountability lacking. According to survey, the three leading causes of corruption are weak accountability (51.9%), egocentric people (29.3%), and low salaries (18.8%).

Australian authorities returns smuggled bronze age stone to Pakistan

The Australian government returned a bronze age stone weight to Pakistan that originates in Balochistan and dates back to the 3rd millennium BCE. The first cultural heritage object stolen from Pakistan and smuggled to Australia has been returned under the UNESCO Convention. Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry, Pakistan’s High Commissioner, accepted the weight at a ceremony attended by senior representatives from the Australian Office of the Arts.

Lahore train driver gets suspended for stopping train to buy yogurt

The train driver and his assistant have been suspended from service by Federal Minister for Railways Azam Khan Swati for stopping near Kahna railway station to buy yogurt. Video showing a train driver stopping to buy yogurt from a shop went viral on social media. The minister said that he would not tolerate such events in the future.  

Pakistan Navy successfully test fires surface-to-air missile

Navy Public Relations Director General said Wednesday that Pakistan Navy Air Defence Unit conducted a successful test of firing missiles from land to air. Pakistan Navy’s Coastal Command and Pakistan Marines’ 23rd Air Defense Battalion conducted aerial defense exercises using Man-Portable Air Defence Systems. The test was also witnessed by the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.

Govt announces lifetime salary for the family of slain Sri Lankan manager

PM Imran Khan announced Tuesday that the Sri Lankan manager’s family will continue to receive a monthly salary. This comes after the manager was lynched in Sialkot last week. Premier Khan made the announcement during a condolence reference in Islamabad for Priyantha Diyawadana. Priyantha Diyawadana worked at a garment factory in Sialkot.

BBC names three Pakistanis among its 100 most inspiring women of 2021

BBC has named three Pakistani women to its 100 most inspiring women of 2021 list. This list includes inspiring and influential women from around the globe. The British broadcaster’s list of 2021 recognizes women who are redefining society, culture, and the world. The Pakistani women who made the list include disability activist Abia Akram, Malala Yousafzai, and Mother Camp founder Laila Haidari.

British human rights organization awards Filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy has been given a Human Rights Portfolio award by a British organization specifically focused on human rights. She was honored for showing leadership, courage, and compassion through her documentaries. The organization was founded by British documentary and portrait photographer Platon. The organization seeks to create a visual language for documenting human rights. 

Pakistan Railways to run special steam engine to promote tourism

To revive tourism activities, Pakistan Railways (PR) has arranged a special steam engine tourism train. PR has arranged the train in accordance with PM Imran Khan’s vision for attracting foreign tourists. According to a Railways spokesperson, a special train would run from Rawalpindi to Attock City and Nowshera to promote tourism.
