11-year-old Pakistani writer Aysal Waheed publishes six books on Amazon

Aysal Waheed, an eleven-year-old Pakistani writer, has published six novels on Amazon. Currently, in sixth grade, Aysal competes in a variety of international and domestic competitions. She placed fourth in the International Bulgarian Creative Writing Competition 2020. The Bulgarian ambassador in Pakistan congratulated her on her performance. One of the six books is an anthology, while the other five are solos.

Punjab govt makes recitation of Durood Sharif mandatory in schools

The Punjab government has mandated Durood Sharif recitation during school assembly hours. Punjab’s chief secretary issued a circular on Tuesday informing schools about the decision following instructions from provincial CM Usman Buzdar. CM Buzdar stated in the circular that reciting Durood Sharif during school assembly hours would also benefit the new generation by its virtue and blessings.

Fawad Chaudhry, the minister of information, and Sikhs have condemned the shooting of a clothing commercial at Kartarpur Gurdwara. Several faithful Sikhs say it hurts their religious feelings. A model took bareheaded shots for a ladies’ clothing brand in Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib at Kartarpur. The brand was criticized by many notable personalities for hurting Sikh followers’ emotions with the shoot.

FIA official says Nadra’s biometric data has been compromised

FIA cybercrime wing has uncovered that Nadra’s biometric data has been hacked while false SIMs are being exported. Tariq Pervez, FIA Cybercrime Wing Additional Director, disclosed Nadra’s biometric data at a National Assembly hearing on information technology. “Nadra’s data has been compromised, it has been hacked,” he explained. He clarified his remarks later, saying that all of Nadra’s data had not been hacked. 

Pakistani organisation HIVE wins Nelson Mandela Innovation Award

The Nelson Mandela-Graça Machel Innovation Award was won by a Pakistani organization for its social impact campaign. During the campaign, a hologram of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was displayed to advocate for an equal and inclusive Pakistan. HIVE Pakistan coordinated the campaign, titled AIK – Better Together. The organization addresses extremism and marginalization through innovative campaigns, youth-focused mentoring, and upstream mobilization.
