PM Imran dissolves all PTI organizations following defeat in KP local elections

PM Imran Khan has decided to dissolve all PTI organizations across the country. This decision was taken after an embarrassing defeat in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s first phase of local elections. The announcement was made by Fawad Chaudhry at a press conference on Friday in Islamabad. Fawad spoke to the media after a meeting of the party’s top leaders, which was presided by the premier.

Pakistanis own $20bn in crypto assets, more than foreign reserves of state bank of Pakistan

Media reports previously stated that Pakistanis owned $20 billion in crypto assets. Those claims followed President FPCCI’s recent statement regarding Pakistan’s crypto assets. FPCCI President Nasir Hayat Magoon said during a press conference that Pakistani cryptocurrency is valued at $20 billion. Consequently, he urged the government to develop a comprehensive regulatory framework.

King Edward Medical University female student Noor Al Sabah grabs 23 gold medals

Noor Al Sabah Ahmed from King Edward Medical University (KEMU) has won 23 gold medals for standing first in different subjects at the 11th convocation of KEMU. First time in the history of the country, a student has racked up 23 gold medals for outstanding academic achievement. Noor was also named the best all-around graduate at the convocation.

Pakistan’s first deaf and mute writer, Kashif Alvi, launches his book at the Presidency

Pakistan, Iran and Turkey resume cargo train service after a 10-year halt

The cargo train service between Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan was re-launched on Tuesday, after a 10-year break. These agreements are expected to stimulate trade between the three countries and within the region. Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad (ITI) cargo train started in 2009 but was suspended due to delays in Pakistan in 2011. The journey can be completed in about 14 days. 

Archaeologists discovers ancient Buddhist temple in Pakistan dating back to 300 B.C.

The most ancient Buddhist temple of Pakistan has been discovered in the Bazira area of Barikot tehsil in Swat. Researchers from Ca’ Foscari University and the Italian Archaeological Mission discovered the site with the cooperation of the province’s archaeology department and museums. Italian ambassador Andreas Ferrarese said he was glad to learn that the new discovery was also made by Italian archaeologists.

Pakistan successfully test-fires an improved version of the Babur cruise missile

Pakistan has conducted a successful test of its indigenous Babur cruise missile 1B, the military’s media affairs wing announced on Tuesday. It has a range of more than 900 kilometers, twice as far as an earlier missile of the same model. The pioneer of bone marrow transplantation, Dr Tahir Shamsi, dies in Karachi

Hematologist and bone marrow transplant pioneer Dr Tahir Shamsi passed away in Karachi, according to his family. Earlier this week, Tahir Shamsi suffered a brain hemorrhage and was admitted to the hospital. Despite receiving treatment, his condition deteriorated on Thursday and he was transferred to the ICU of the hospital, where he died today.

The artist created a unique portrait of Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah from a 1 rupee coins. Pakistani artists spent 3 years collecting more than 5000 rupee coins to create a portrait of Quaid-e-Azam.
