Archaeologists discovers ancient Buddhist temple in Pakistan dating back to 300 B.C.

The most ancient Buddhist temple of Pakistan has been discovered in the Bazira area of Barikot tehsil in Swat. Researchers from Ca’ Foscari University and the Italian Archaeological Mission discovered the site with the cooperation of the province’s archaeology department and museums. Italian ambassador Andreas Ferrarese said he was glad to learn that the new discovery was also made by Italian archaeologists.

Rawalpindi Cantonment Board seals private schools with primary school students inside

Rawalpindi Cantonment Board officials sealed two private schools on Tipu Road while primary students were still inside. Unexpectedly, schools were closed, resulting in panic among students, who cried uncontrollably. Cantonment boards had announced earlier that schools would be closed on January 1. Following the hue and cry, nearby shopkeepers, residents and passers-by gathered in large numbers. 

Pakistan hosts OIC Council of Foreign Ministers session today after 41 years

The OIC Council of Foreign Ministers holds its 17th extraordinary session on Afghanistan today in Islamabad. This 17th extraordinary session illustrates Pakistan’s commitment and consistency in promoting peace and stability in Afghanistan. Peace and stability are the keys to the continued well-being of Afghans. It is the first time Pakistan has hosted the OIC foreign ministers after 41 years.
