Pakistan likely to face strict sanctions following US’ addition to list of child soldier recruiters

Pakistan and Turkey have been added to the United States’ Child Soldiers Prevention Act (CSPA) list. The addition to a list of child soldier recruiters may lead to sanctions against any country participating in peacekeeping missions. In its annual Trafficking in Persons (TIP) report, the US State Department mentions this designation. In addition, this report ranks countries according to their efforts to eliminate trafficking.

Thieves steal thousand Schengen visa stickers from Italian embassy in Islamabad

Unidentified men broke into the locker room of the Italian embassy in Islamabad, reportedly stealing 1000 Schengen visa stickers. Details indicate that on June 16, the embassy requested help from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to investigate the theft of the visa stickers. In addition, the Italian authorities are conducting an internal investigation to determine who is responsible for the theft.
