Pakistan ranks 15th in the world for adoption of digital currencies. The report was presented by the blockchain data platform Chainalysis, which devised a Global Crypto Adoption Index. According to the report, Ukraine and Russia lead crypto adoption. Additionally, several African countries made it into the top 20.
Moreover, Nigeria is comfortably ranked 8th, South Africa is ranked 7th, and Kenya is ranked 5th. Furthermore, according to Chainalysis, Pakistan received over USD 1.5 billion in crypto-cash last year. Many analysts believe there could have been far more in 2020-21 if transactions in digital currencies were more easily carried out.
