Twenty-Two Senators from the United States have introduced a bill that examines Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan before and after the fall of Kabul. The bill also examines Pakistan’s role in a Taliban offensive at Panjshir Valley. The proposed legislation would require the government to report on who supported the Taliban throughout the 20 years the USA spent in Afghanistan.

Govt to set up country’s first all-woman market in Islamabad by October 30

The Minister for the Interior announced a specialized market for women would be established by October 30 in the capital. The announcement was made during the 12th Annual General Meeting 2021-22 of the Islamabad IWCCI. Sheikh Rasheed said that women must be involved in the overall development of the country.

IBA Karachi expelles student for exposing harassment allegations on social media

IBA Karachi has expelled a student after he exposed an alleged case of harassment on campus. Mohammed Gibrail was punished for reporting the incident on social media rather than using the IBA’s “right channels” developed for that purpose. Gibrail posted on Facebook about an incident at the IBA’s finance department on August 25.

Slain delivery rider brutally shot in head by street criminals in Karachi for Rs5,000 mobile

A delivery rider in Karachi’s Sohrab Goth in Karachi was shot in the head by an armed street criminal for stealing a Rs5,000 mobile phone. Imran, the deceased rider, had travelled to Karachi so that he could bear the expenses of his younger brothers. The footage showed a street criminal killing a delivery rider on a busy road in Karachi.

Legendary WWE stars, Undertaker and Hulk Hogan might be coming to Pakistan soon

Professional Wrestling Entertainment’s CEO, Zeeshan Basheer, is working on bringing the Undertaker and Hulk Hogan to Pakistan. A UAE-based sports enthusiast, Zeeshan, organized an international wrestling event in 2017 that included 25 wrestlers from around the world. Currently, he is in talks with legendary WWE stars about hosting the second season in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s national flag returns to Beijing from a journey to space

A special hatch-opening ceremony was held at the China Academy of Space Technology to present the Pakistani national flag that was carried to the space station aboard the Shenzhou-12. China Manned Space Agency sent the national flags of Pakistan and China into space in celebration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Two teenage sisters from Gujranwala are aiming to represent Pakistan at the South Asian Games in weightlifting. Shafaq and her sister Khadija Dar were introduced to weightlifting by their father, Waheed Dar, who was Pakistan Army’s weightlifting coach. The father of the Olympian Talha Talib is coaching both athletes for national and international tournaments.

Pakistan and Afghanistan discuss expanding CPEC to enhance regional connectivity and trade

In an effort to enhance regional connectivity and trade, Pakistan and Afghanistan have discussed extending the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project. Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, Mansoor Ahmed Khan, said that regional connectivity would enable Pakistan to improve its economic relationship with Kabul. CPEC offers opportunities for infrastructure and energy connectivity between Afghanistan and Pakistan. This will help connect Southeast Asia to Central Asia.

Maheen Khalid from AJK obtains 1,098/1,100 marks in Federal board intermediate examination

Maheen Khalid, a student of Fauji Foundation College, secured the first position in the Federal Board with 1098/1100 marks. The student hails from Pothi Bala, a village on the outskirts of Rawalakot, AJK. She attributed her success to all the martyred Kashmiri brothers and sisters and said if life gave her a chance, she would always help oppressed people with her pen.
