Govt to set up country’s first all-woman market in Islamabad by October 30

The Minister for the Interior announced a specialized market for women would be established by October 30 in the capital. The announcement was made during the 12th Annual General Meeting 2021-22 of the Islamabad IWCCI. Sheikh Rasheed said that women must be involved in the overall development of the country.

Earlier this year, the government decided to establish a special market for women after interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed met with a delegation of the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) and affirmed the importance of including women in economic activity.
