Osman Khalid Butt expresses his outrage over his edited photo allegedly used on a dating app

As we start a new week, actor Osman Khalid Butt seems a bit unimpressed.  A Twitter user tagged the Baaji actor in a tweet where someone catfished him on the dating app Bumble with a doctored photo. The picture of Butt has been morphed into an image of a woman named Omaira, who is 24 years old. 

Investigator says Zahir Jaffer’s fingerprints are not found on weapon recovered from crime scene

An investigation officer told the court on Monday that Zahir Jaffer’s fingerprints were not found on the knife used in the murder of Noor Mukadam. During the hearing, Investigation Officer (IO) informed the court that Zahir was also investigated as Noor’s body was discovered at his home. Under cross-examination by the defendant’s lawyer, he claimed no eyewitnesses appeared before police, apart from the forensic report.

Dirilis Ertugrul Actor Ayberk Pekcan (Artuk Bey) dies of lung cancer

Famed Turkish actor Ayberk Pekcan aka Artuk Bey lost his fight against lung cancer on Monday. He starred in the hit Turkish series Resurrection Ertuğrul. The 51-year-old, who also worked as a civil servant, had reportedly been battling the deadly disease for some time. He has appeared in a number of TV dramas and series, including Kurtlar Vadisi. 

PIA will fly to India for the first time since independence

For the first time in 75 years, Pakistani tourists will fly to India on January 29 on a special Pakistan International Airlines flight. Until now, pilgrims and tourists have traveled to each other’s countries on foot or via the Samjhauta Express. This will be the first time since Pakistan gained independence that Pakistani tourists can reach India by air.

Pakistan releases 20 Indian fishermen as goodwill gesture

The Pakistani government has released 20 Indian fishermen who will be handed over to India’s Border Security Force (BSF) at the Wagah border in Lahore. A group of fishermen was arrested for illegally entering Pakistani waters and fishing without permission. The government released them on humanitarian grounds from Karachi’s Landhi Jail.

Shaheen Afridi becomes the first Pakistani player to win ICC Men’s Cricketer of the year award

ICC awarded Pakistani paceman Shaheen Shah Afridi the title of a cricketer of the year for his excellent performance in 2021. The youngster Afridi won the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year as he took 78 wickets in 36 matches at an average of 22.20. He had the best bowling figure of 6/51.

ICC declares Babar Azam as ODI cricketer of the year

Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, and star batsman have been named the ODI Cricketer of the Year by the international cricket governing body. The award is in recognition of his outstanding performance in 2021. He was the second-highest scorer and Player of the Match in both victories of Pakistan in the 2-1 series.

AJK police arrested an alleged poacher for shooting a leopard near the river Neelum

The AJK Police have apprehended an alleged poacher a day after an injured leopard was fatally wounded by six gunshots. Police officials told local media that the wildcat that was suspected of being struck by a speeding vehicle was actually shot down near the river Neelum in Muzaffarabad. The AJK law enforcement officials detained a man named Shaukat alias Jangju.

Justice Ayesha Malik takes oath as the first female Supreme Court Judge of Pakistan

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has appointed the first woman judge ever to the Supreme Court (SC). Justice Ayesha Malik was elevated from the Lahore High Court (LHC). First time in the history of Pakistan, a woman has been sworn in as the judge of the country’s top court. She took an oath before Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed in the federal capital.

Fatima Sana becomes Pakistan’s first woman player to win ICC award
