Investigator says Zahir Jaffer’s fingerprints are not found on weapon recovered from crime scene

An investigation officer told the court on Monday that Zahir Jaffer’s fingerprints were not found on the knife used in the murder of Noor Mukadam. During the hearing, Investigation Officer (IO) informed the court that Zahir was also investigated as Noor’s body was discovered at his home. Under cross-examination by the defendant’s lawyer, he claimed no eyewitnesses appeared before police, apart from the forensic report.

Additionally, the IO told the court there were no bloodstains on Jaffer’s pants. This case has prompted public outrage and dominated headlines unlike any other recent crime against women.
