A Chinese national was wounded in the suicide blast, confirmed the Chinese embassy in Pakistan. Liaquat Shahwani, a spokesman for the Balochistan government, said a suicide bomber targeted a car carrying Chinese nationals.

Pakistan exports its first smartphone consignment to UAE

DSP, SHO, & other senior officers suspended for negligence in TikToker assault case

The Punjab government has removed several senior officers following the horrific assault on the TikToker in Lahore’s Greater Iqbal Park. DIG Operations Sajid Kayani, SSP Operations Syed Nadeem Abbas, and Additional SP Operations Hassan Jahangir were removed from their posts. Magisterial Court grants bail to accused in Ranjit Singh statue defacement case

The individual who is alleged to have vandalized the statue of Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh at the Lahore Fort was granted pre-arrest bail on Friday.  The accused’s counsel told the court that police recovered a hammer from the accused.  According to him, the FIR was registered under sections that allow for bail. 

CPO Lahore reveals multiple arrests of people spotted during Minar-e-Pakistan incident

The CCPO Lahore announced that 35 people have been arrested for their role in the attack and harassment of a woman in Greater Iqbal Park. The CCPO has also received information regarding other people involved in the incident. More arrests will be made as soon as fresh evidence has been obtained.

Karachi man infected by deadly Naegleria Fowleri via tap water

A 38-year-old man with a Naegleria Fowleri infection was admitted to the intensive care unit at Ziauddin Hospital in Karachi on Tuesday. There have been seven reports of Naegleria infections in the city this year. The report prepared by the Regional Disease Surveillance and Response Unit stated piped water as the main risk factor. Moreover, Naegleria Fowleri is commonly known as the “brain-eating amoeba.”

Usman Mirza’s accomplice gets bail in couple assault case

Usman Mirza’s accomplice Umer Bilal Marawat has been granted bail by the Islamabad High Court. Umer was accused of sexually harassing, torturing, and filming a young couple in Islamabad.
