The individual who is alleged to have vandalized the statue of Sikh ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh at the Lahore Fort was granted pre-arrest bail on Friday. The accused’s counsel told the court that police recovered a hammer from the accused. According to him, the FIR was registered under sections that allow for bail.

The accused, therefore, should be released on bail, he added. Following that, the magistrate’s court judge granted bail to the accused. The suspect belongs to the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan and was arrested on Tuesday.
