The PCB in a statement issued on Wednesday strongly refuted “fictitious” media reports that suggest the board has decided to part ways with chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and coach Mickey Arthur. PCB in their statement have stated that the future of the chief selector, coach and the player support personnel will be reviewed following the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided not to renew chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq and head coach Mickey Arthur’s contracts, which ends with the conclusion of World Cup in mid-July. Former captain Aamir Sohail is already being considered as the chief selector in place of Inzamam, while it yet to be decided if a foreigner or a local player will replace Arthur.
Chacha Cricket, Chaudhry Abdul Jalil, will be honoured with the Global Sports Fan award in the United Kingdom during the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in England. The 70-year-old, usually seen supporting the Pakistani team while branding the national flag and wearing green clothes, will be awarded on June 14 in Manchester for his 50-years of cricket fandom.
