FIA official says Nadra’s biometric data has been compromised

FIA cybercrime wing has uncovered that Nadra’s biometric data has been hacked while false SIMs are being exported. Tariq Pervez, FIA Cybercrime Wing Additional Director, disclosed Nadra’s biometric data at a National Assembly hearing on information technology. “Nadra’s data has been compromised, it has been hacked,” he explained. He clarified his remarks later, saying that all of Nadra’s data had not been hacked.

He said, without providing more detail, “During the SIM verification process involving biometric data, Nadra’s biometric system has been compromised.”
