Noor Al Sabah Ahmed from King Edward Medical University (KEMU) has won 23 gold medals for standing first in different subjects at the 11th convocation of KEMU. First time in the history of the country, a student has racked up 23 gold medals for outstanding academic achievement. Noor was also named the best all-around graduate at the convocation.
Speaking to the media, Noor Al Sabah talked about her desire to contribute to the development of the country. Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar awarded her a cash prize of Rs0.1 million from his own pocket on the occasion. In contrast, KEMU Vice-Chancellor Khalid Masood Gondal offered Rs50,000.
