Reko Dig gold mine has reserves of 5.9 bn tonnes of ore containing 0.41% copper, 41.5 million oz of gold

Balochistan’s Reko Diq Gold mines are valued at $260 billion and could be worth $1 trillion. It is estimated that Reko Diq has 5.9 billion tonnes of ore grading 0.41 percent copper and 41.5 million ounces of gold reserves, making it one of the largest copper and gold deposits in the world. Pakistan is extremely fortunate to have minerals of such high value in Balochistan.

Pakistan releases over 100 TTP prisoners in ”goodwill gesture” to mark the ceasefire truce

The government has released more than 100 Taliban prisoners as part of a “goodwill gesture”. The release follows the Taliban’s announcement of a ceasefire earlier this month. Most of the Taliban prisoners freed by the government were being de-radicalized and rehabilitated in government-run institutions. According to one official, most released inmates have not completed the six-month mandatory de-radicalization and rehabilitation program.

Pakistan hockey team reaches India to participate in junior world cup

Pakistan’s junior hockey team reached India on Saturday in anticipation of the Junior Hockey World Cup. The tournament will be held from November 24 to December 5 in Bhubaneswar. The team members were received by a senior diplomat of the High Commission upon arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport. Aftab Hasan Khan, Pakistan’s High Commission In-Charge, welcomed the hockey team.

The Pakistan Air Force’s Pilot Officer Obaidullah has been awarded the prestigious Cranwell Medal at Royal Air Force College, London. Following his best performance at PAF Academy, he was selected to attend Royal Air Force College. Pilot Officer Obaidullah is originally from Dir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This recent achievement signifies the excellence of the Pakistan Air Force’s training institutions.

IMF and Pakistan reach an agreement to revive stalled $6 billion funding program

In a statement on Monday, the IMF confirmed that it has reached an agreement with Pakistan, which will help revive the country’s stalled US$6 billion financing program. This agreement will support Pakistan’s plan to progress economically. The IMF announced in a statement that the Pakistani authorities and IMF staff reached an agreement on policies and reforms needed for the sixth review.
