An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 struck Northwest China’s Qinghai Province and damaged a section of the Great Wall. Its origins date back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Two meters of the Great Wall collapsed in Shandan County, Northwest China’s Gansu Province. Researchers in Cyprus have discovered a combination of the delta and omicron variants of Coronavirus. Leondios Kostrikis, professor of biological sciences at the University of Cyprus, calls the strain ‘deltacron’. This is in reference to its omicron-like genetic signatures found in delta genomes. As of now, Kostrikis and his team have found 25 cases of the virus.
The government named Pakistani singer and social activist Shehzad Roy its honorary brand ambassador for population and family planning. Dr. Mohiuddin transplanted a genetically modified pig heart into a terminally ill patient. They implanted the heart of a pig that was genetically modified and bred to save human lives. Bennett is the first person ever to receive a pig heart transplant.
