A young engineer from Karachi, Muhammad Ali Abbas has developed a robot to help children with autism improve their abilities and help them learn by overcoming loneliness through communication. Abbas is a graduate of the Usman Institute of Technology and his robot has recently been named the best creative idea in the healthcare sector. Abbas’s robot is named Peeko.

A manhunt is under way in Peshawar for a faith healer who allegedly hammered a nail into a pregnant woman’s head. Allegedly, the faith healer had claimed he could guarantee she gave birth to a baby boy. The woman had approached the faith healer after hearing about the practice from a neighbour.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man who fooled the US Consulate General in Karachi by disguising himself as a journalist and obtained a US visa not once but twice. The man was into custody after the US Consulate officially wrote a letter to the agency, detailing his fake claims submitted in response to two separate US visa applications.

The Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) has declared that visiting Kaaba in the metaverse will not be considered a ”real Hajj”. After a month-long discussion, Diyanet concluded that metaverse visit of the Kaaba can be performed, but won’t count as real worship. The metaverse version of Kaaba became controversial among Muslims globally following Saudi Arabia’s “Virtual Black Stone Initiative” event in December 2021.
