Malawi’s health authorities have declared a wild polio virus outbreak after a case was detected in a young child in the capital Lilongwe after more than five years, the World Health Organization (WHO) said. The WHO said in a statement that laboratory analysis showed the strain detected in Malawi was linked to one that has been circulating in Pakistan.

Pakistan has finally issued a citizenship certificate for Sumaira, a woman languishing in an Indian detention centre after marrying an Indian in Qatar. Sumaira married an Indian boy who took her to India without a visa. Later, Sumaira was arrested and subsequently sentenced to three years in prison. Two months later, she gave birth to a baby girl.
The Peshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) received the Gold Standard Service award from Technical Committee of the BRT Standards for providing environment-friendly services to the people of provincial capital. Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Shibli Faraz on Wednesday has advised the public to use “as little fuel as possible”, in order to avoid getting effected by the recent hike in fuel prices.
