PTI Government lifts ban on TLP on Punjab govt’s request

As part of a larger national interest, the government lifted the ban on Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP). Moreover, the “secret agreement” was executed after violent protests by the TLP to secure the release of its chief Saad Rizvi. According to a notification released by the Interior Ministry on Sunday, the agreement was in effect as of October 31.

Pemra directs TV channels to show map of Pakistan before 9 pm bulletin

The Pemra has issued a notification for every news channel to broadcast the political map of Pakistan for two seconds before airing a news bulletin at 9 pm on a regular basis. According to the media regulatory authority, satellite TV channel licensees must follow the instructions in letter and spirit at all times.

After two weeks of direct, face-to-face talks, the two sides had tentatively agreed to declare a truce across Pakistan. Sources said the talks were taking place in Afghanistan’s Khost province.

West Indies to tour Pakistan for three T20Is, ODIs in December

Pakistan and the West Indies will play a limited-overs series in Karachi next month. There will be three Twenty20 matches scheduled on December 13, 14, and 16. Pakistani institute NUST ranked among Asia’s top 100 universities

Recent rankings list NUST as the only Pakistani university among Asia’s top 100 institutions. NUST has moved up two places to 74th place in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings 2022. The university has advanced 17 places over the past five years as it was ranked 91st in 2018. NUST is also ranked among the top 400 universities in the world.

UK and Pakistani navies conduct joint exercises in Arabian Sea

The Pakistan Navy reported on Wednesday that the UK and Pakistani navies conducted a joint exercise in the northern Arabian Sea. Following the visit of the UK Navy’s ship HMS Richmond to Karachi, the drill was held. The naval exercises covered a range of maritime operations.
