UK and Pakistani navies conduct joint exercises in Arabian Sea

The Pakistan Navy reported on Wednesday that the UK and Pakistani navies conducted a joint exercise in the northern Arabian Sea. Following the visit of the UK Navy’s ship HMS Richmond to Karachi, the drill was held. The naval exercises covered a range of maritime operations. It contributed to efforts towards ensuring maritime security in the region by improving interoperability.

The two sides also discussed professional matters and bilateral interactions. According to Pakistan Navy officials, the visit of a UK Navy vessel to Karachi and the joint naval drills demonstrate the Pakistan Navy’s commitment to regional peace and to further developing cooperation between the two navies.
