Pakistan overtakes China in denim clothing exports to US in Jan-Sep

The international media reported that Pakistan has surpassed China in denim apparel exports to the United States (US). Pakistan’s cotton-made clothing exports to the US reached $276 million from January to September 2021. The amount exceeded China’s $274.63 million worth of exports. Comparatively, Pakistan exported $168.85 million to the US last year against $238.75 million to China during the same period.

Markhors are missing from a national park in northwestern region

Over the past two years, markhor, Pakistan’s national animal, has disappeared in great numbers in a national park in the country’s northwest region. The Chitral Gol National Park has fewer than 1,000 markhors left, according to locals. The Government points to Pakistan-Afghan border fencing as a problem for markhor counting; a population survey is scheduled for December.

Local media reported that Ali Sadpara suffered a nervous breakdown at Mount Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Pakistan to host 2025 Champions Trophy, ICC confirms

Pakistan has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2025 Champions Trophy. The ICC has announced eight men’s tournaments between 2024 and 2031. Saudi Arabia gifts Pakistan two mosques in AJK, KPK

Saudi Arabia on Monday handed over two mosques in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) as a “gift” to the people of Pakistan, the Saudi ambassador to Islamabad said. The Saudi embassy reports that the kingdom has donated the King Abdul Aziz Mosque in Mansehra, KP. The mosque has a capacity of over 10,000 worshipers.
