The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) froze all the bank accounts of renowned Pakistani singer Aima Baig today for nonpayment of taxes. Before FBR could reach Baig, she had already withdrawn 25 million rupees from her bank accounts and emptied them. Currently, the FBR is considering seizing her vehicles. Apparently, Baig owes Rs85 million in income taxes.
A survey conducted by IPOR on Tuesday indicates that Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar is the best chief minister across the four provinces. Buzdar ranked highest among the four chief ministers in the survey in terms of three-year performance. Buzdar has been ranked as the best chief minister of Punjab by 45%, followed by Mahmood Khan, Murad Ali Shah, and Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.
The district and sessions court issued an arrest warrant for the couple in the Usman Mirza torture case on Tuesday. The development came after the couple failed to appear in court on Monday. During the hearing of the case, Judge Mohammad Ata Rabbani expressed regret that the couple was not present.

Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas has requested that private schools make scarves and caps mandatory for female and male students, respectively. Murad made the request while speaking about mandatory Quran classes in schools. Additionally, he stated that scarves/dupattas are commonly included in the uniforms of private and public schools. He supported the inclusion of scarves in the uniforms of all private schools.

The legendary Pakistani film, television, and stage actor Rasheed Naz passed away at the age of 73. The funeral prayer for the actor is scheduled to take place in Peshawar. Rasheed, who has worked in numerous movies and television dramas, was born on September 9, 1948, in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He began his career as a television actor in 1971 with Pushto television play.
Shaukat Ali Mukadam, Noor Mukadam’s father, recorded a statement in an Islamabad court on Saturday. The father demanded capital punishment for primary suspect Zahir Jaffer. Noor, 27, was found murdered in Sector F-7/4 of the capital on July 20, 2021. An FIR was registered against Zahir on the same day under Section 302 (premeditated murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
