Punjab education minister asks private schools to make hijab and caps compulsory for students

Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas has requested that private schools make scarves and caps mandatory for female and male students, respectively. Murad made the request while speaking about mandatory Quran classes in schools. Additionally, he stated that scarves/dupattas are commonly included in the uniforms of private and public schools. He supported the inclusion of scarves in the uniforms of all private schools.

A month ago, Chief Minister Punjab approved the appointment of 70,000 Arabic teachers to teach the Holy Quran in all schools.
