Court issues non-bailable arrest warrant against couple in Usman Mirza torture case

The district and sessions court issued an arrest warrant for the couple in the Usman Mirza torture case on Tuesday. The development came after the couple failed to appear in court on Monday. During the hearing of the case, Judge Mohammad Ata Rabbani expressed regret that the couple was not present.

Consequently, he issued a non-bailable warrant against the victims and ordered the SSP to produce them. A couple’s attorney pleaded with the court and explained that both are out of the city and will have to travel three hours to reach the court. The case has been adjourned to today.
