Priyanka Chopra would love to play James Bond

Priyanka Chopra, The Sky is Pink star mentioned she would love to play the role of female James bond. During an interview with Britain’s metro newspaper,  the 37-year old confidently nominated herself to be stepping into Daniel Craig’s shoes. She also added that she’s always been keen on playing this role but she can’t put herself into the race but would definitely love to see a female Bond in her lifetime. 

Keanu Reeves won’t be only lead actor in Matrix 4

Keanu Reeves will not be ‘The One’ to lead The Matrix 4, Aquaman‘s Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will be doing the role.  Black Mirror actor at the forefront, along with franchise legends Reeves (Neo) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity) will be starred in the most awaited continuation of the series. The Matrix  is a thought-provoking sci-fi that was released in 1999 and revolutionised action cinema.

A leaked video of Mehwish Hayat’s has sparked #RevokeMehwishHayatCivilAward trend on Twitter. Talking to Express News, Hayat was asked to make a comment about Kashmir, to which she responded by saying, “Nothing about Kashmir! I’ve been asked not to speak about Kashmir here.” Soon after the video went viral on Twitter, the hashtag started trending and many called Mehwish out for her ‘selective activism.’

The 34-year-old ‘Raees’ actor dropped jaws in a leather jacket, skinny black jeans and a white shirt with coiffed hair for Karl Lagerfeld. India’s cine body makes Diljit Dosanjh cancel US trip promoted by Pakistani national

India’s cine body, Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) asked singer and actor, Diljit Dosanjh to cancel his appearance at an upcoming show being promoted by a Pakistani national. Diljit, who was supposed to perform at the US show on September 21 had been told to “cancel his commitment in the interest, sentiments and dignity of the nation”. 

Pakistani short film wins Best Short Film Award at Venice Film Festival

Pakistani short film ‘Darling’ won Best Short Film Award at the Venice Film Fest (VFF). Directed by Saim Sadiq, Darling premiered at ’VFF’s new Orrizzonti section. It qualifies as ’Pakistan’s first film to project in front of the oldest movie ’gala’s audience. Darling depicts the relationship between a trans girl and a young boy is a new concept altogether.

Veteran actor Abid Ali passes away

Veteran television actor Abid Ali has passed away at the age of 67 in Karachi. Ali was admitted in the intensive care unit at Karachi’s Liaquat National Hospital after being diagnosed with liver disease. Hospital administration confirmed that he breathed his last at 9pm. After news broke of his demise, tributes began pouring in from the acting fraternity.

Ex-Pakistani and now Indian citizen, Adnan Sami’s son has called Pakistan his home. Azaan Sami, in an interview with BBC Asian Network opened about his relationship with his father, stating that he loves him but wants to work and live in Pakistan. He added that despite spending his teenage years in India, the industry in Pakistan feels like family.

Pakistani filmmaker to make comedy movie on Abhinandan

Pakistani filmmaker and director Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has announced to make a comedy movie on Indian Wing commander Abhinandan Varthaman. In the movie titled “Abhinandan Come On”, Shamoon Abbasi will be seen playing role of the downed Indian pilot. The movie expected to release this September was planned after Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi announced last week to make a movie on Abhinandan.

Matthew McConaughey joins University of Texas as professor

Matthew McConaughey, the Oscar-winning actor and producer, has joined the faculty of the University of Texas at Austin and will be teaching a class this fall. McConaughey, an alumnus of the university who has taught there as a visiting instructor, will teach filmmaking. Two of the movies Mr. McConaughey has starred in will be studied in the class of 40 students.
