Pakistan’s largest Ferris wheel to be installed in lake view park

CDA is preparing to launch another entertainment initiative for Islamabad residents. The largest Ferris wheel in Pakistan will be installed at Lake View Park with a height of 180 feet. The development of Phase-II of the park, which was stalled for over a decade, is now underway. CDA’s chairman has instructed the Environment Wing to bring PC-I of the project to an early decision.

Pakistan become first team to win 18 T20IS in calendar year

Pakistan became the first men’s team to win 18 T20IS matches in a calendar year. In the first match of their three-match series, they defeated the West Indies by 63 runs. The pair of Mohammad Rizwan (78) and Haider Ali (68) put on a dominant performance. It was Pakistan’s 18th T20 victory in 2021, an improvement from 2018 when they won 17 matches.

PCB appoints former ICC CFO Faisal Hasnain as its new CEO

Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday announced the appointment of Faisal Hasnain as the new CEO. The new CEO will begin working in January 2022. During his tenure as ICC’s Chief Financial Officer, Faisal managed an overall financial portfolio of around $3 billion. He has also been involved in the sale of ICC commercial rights for the 2007-2015 and 2016-2023 cycles

Pakistan sets Guinness record for ‘most cars in a drive-in music concert’

Pakistan smashed the Guinness World Record for “most cars in a drive-in music concert” in the federal capital on Saturday. Music concert in Islamabad organized by telecom operator Jazz in partnership with Active Media Partners and Park View City. The concert featured Bilal Khan, Ali Azmat, and Atif Aslam. The organizers approached Guinness World Records with the interest of setting a world record.

Govt declares Murree a no-smoking zone

Muhammad Ali, Rawalpindi’s Deputy Commissioner (DC), has ordered that the tourist city of Murree be made a no-smoking zone. The announcement was made during the district’s Tobacco Control Implementation Committee meeting. He is insisting on immediate action to make Murree a no-smoking zone. It will also set an example for a smoke-free Pakistan since the tourist destination receives visitors from across the country.
