Washington DC Public Schools promoted Pakistan’s beautiful landscapes, cultural heritage, and exotic cuisine

The Pakistan Ambassador in Washington DC, Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, and Ms. Maliha Shahid, Press and Culture Counselor, attended a program held at Alice Deal Middle School in Washington DC. The purpose of the program was to promote the landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and exotic cuisine of Pakistan in public schools. Ambassador Khan invited students to the Pakistan Embassy to learn more about the country.

Pakistan Ranks Among Top 30 Countries for E-Sports Earnings

It appears that Pakistan’s gaming industry is slowly making inroads. Pakistan is now ranked 29th out of 150 countries based on E-sports earnings. Pakistan has a total of 278 professional local players that earn an annual income of Rs. 845 million. The professional Dota 2 player Sumail Hassan is currently the highest-earning Pakistani gamer.

Govt to Launch Pakistan’s Biggest Talent Hunt Program for Sports

To revive the sports culture in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the launch of Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive, the country’s largest talent hunt program. Reports indicate that the premier will officially inaugurate the Kamyan Jawan Sports Drive on 6 December at Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad. The talent hunt will be launched in 25 regions for 12 sports ​in the first phase.

Taliban bans forced marriage of women in Afghanistan

Taliban officials announced on Friday that forced marriage will be banned in Afghanistan. According to reports, the move is meant to address criteria that the international community considers necessary for recognizing the new government and restoring aid to the nation. An announcement was made by the Taliban’s reclusive leader, Sheikh Haibatullah Akhundzada. 

PCB chief Ramiz Raja confirms PSL for women cricketers

PCB Chairman Ramiz Raja has now confirmed the Pakistan Super League, PSL, for women. In an interview with an international news outlet, Ramiz Raja expressed regret over the lack of a system for women’s cricket in Pakistan. When Ramiz was asked about women’s cricket, he said, “We do not have schools or colleges for it.”
