Seven Pakistani ophthalmologists to serve in OIC mission in Niger

A senior OIC official announced that Pakistani ophthalmologists have been sent to Niger as part of an OIC mission on health and higher education for Africa. A committee of the OIC was established in 1981 during the Islamic Summit in Makkah. The organization’s primary objective is to enhance the technological and scientific capabilities of member states of the OIC.

India prohibits singer Gippy Grewal from visiting Pakistan

The Indian immigration authorities reportedly stopped Gippy Grewal at the Atari border on Friday. He was prevented from entering Pakistan through the Wagah border. The singer was scheduled to visit Kartarpur, so arrangements were made for his arrival at the border. He was to leave for Kartarpur (Narowal) at 9:30 am and return to Lahore by 3:30 pm. 

Pakistani-Canadian opens 22 ‘multicultural free libraries’ in Canada to promote different cultures

In a bid to promote Pakistani culture and other cultures in Canada, Pakistani National Syed Najam Hassan has established outdoor multicultural free libraries. New immigrants like Syed Najam Hassan faced some challenges in Calgary when they arrived in 2009. He noticed that new immigrants coming from different countries in Canada are having difficulty finding books in their own languages.

Govt plans to launch Ehsaas Petrol Card for middle-class people 

The federal government plans to introduce the Ehsaas Petrol Card for motorcyclists so that they can purchase petrol at a subsidized price. Earlier this week, Shaukat Tarin chaired the meeting of the Macro-Economic Advisory Group (MEAG) at the Finance Division. Three points were discussed, including ideas to support middle-class families against high inflation.
