Pakistani Professor M. Iqbal Choudhary receives top Muslim World Science Award

Professor M. Iqbal Choudhary, a Pakistani biochemist, has been named Laureate of the Mustafa Prize for 2021. A biennial science award, the Mustafa Prize, honors the best researchers and scientists from the Islamic world. Awards are presented in four categories: ICT, life and medical sciences, nanoscience and nanotechnology, and all other science and technology.

Mustafa Prize was established in 2012 as a symbol for scientific excellence at the international level and is regarded as the Nobel prize of the Muslim world. ‘The Mustafa Prize’ has been awarded to five scientists each from Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Lebanon, and Morocco.
