Pakistan breaks India’s record by planting 52,040 saplings in 40 seconds

Students in Gujranwala planted 52,040 saplings in 40 seconds on Thursday, setting a world record. It was scheduled as part of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s initiative “Clean Green Ten Billion Trees”. More than 12,500 students, teachers, and citizens took part in the activity. Moreover, the activity surpassed India’s record of planting 37,000 saplings in a minute.

This project involved planting plants along the 14-kilometer green belt of GT Road in Gujranwala. The city of Gujranwala has created a Guinness World Record by planting over 50,000 saplings in less than a minute.
