Sheikh Rasheed Announces to Convert Lal Haveli into women university

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, the Interior Minister, announced the conversion of his famous residence, Lal Haveli, into a university. Government Postgraduate Girls College in the Satellite Town area of Rawalpindi will therefore become a university in the near future. He believes that colleges should be built on empty plots all around Rawalpindi. A special emphasis is being placed on transport for girls’ colleges, he added.

Malala Yousafzai, who was shot by the Pakistani Taliban as a schoolgirl, has urged Afghanistan’s new leaders to let girls attend school. After seizing power in August, the Taliban banned girls from returning to secondary schools while ordering boys to resume classes. According to the Taliban, girls will be allowed to return once security and a stricter separation system are in place.

17-year-old Wasiullah designs smart shoes to make life easier for visually impaired

The 17-year-old Wasiullah invented smart shoes that detect obstacles with a sound or vibration. This allows people with visual impairments to live more independently. A student from Swat Valley created this smart footwear with an ultrasonic sensor and Arduino board that keeps blind people safe while walking. Wasiullah developed a variety of gadgets in his school lab by repairing damaged toys.
