Pakistan ranks 130th out of 139 countries in Rule of Law Index 2021

The World Justice Project’s Rule of Law Index 2021 has ranked Pakistan 130th out of 139 countries. Details indicate that the countries in this study were ranked based on scores ranging from 0 to 1. Pakistan received an inadequate score of 0.39 in Rule of Law. According to the report, Pakistan was the second-worst country in South Asia.

In addition, the report found Pakistan to have the worst scores for corruption, fundamental rights, order and security, and regulatory enforcement. The country ranked fourth out of six regional countries based on an assessment of their criminal justice, civil justice, open government, and the limitation of government power.
