Sindh govt to Take Legal Action Against organizations Paying Less Than Minimum Wage

CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has warned private companies that they should not pay their employees less than the minimum wage. According to the provincial budget for FY 2021-22, this amount is fixed at Rs. 25,000. Sindh’s chief minister expressed disappointment over media reports that many companies in the province are underpaying their workers.

Amid crippling inflation, CM Sindh said the poor segment of society is getting even poorer as the middle class struggles to make ends meet. The CM ordered relevant departments to ensure the implementation of minimum wage across the province. Moreover, he also orders to take strict legal actions against organizations not adhering to the official minimum wage.
