The England team, led by Ben Stokes, has hired a team chef for the upcoming Pakistan tour, including three Tests in December. A personal team chef has been hired following a briefing from players who toured Pakistan for seven T20Is before the T20 World Cup. The feedback from players and support staff was that the food on offer, particularly at match venues, was not quite up to scratch.

Imaad Khan becomes first Pakistani to study football management at Real Madrid Graduate School

26-year-old, Imaad Khan has become the first Pakistani to enroll for a master’s degree at the prestigious Real Madrid Graduate School in Spain this year. Khan, a skilled football player himself since the age of ten, was on the national team in 2016 during Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka. Today he runs a sports club and football academy called ‘Baseline’ in Islamabad.

Pakistani mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Uloomi Karim has become the “first” Pakistani to win a title fight at an Indian MMA promotion, after he knocked out his Indian opponent at the Matrix Fight Night (MFN) in Dubai. Karim showcased his class by knocking out his opponent in the first round of the match, bringing the highly-anticipated clash to an end within a few minutes. 

Pakistan’s renowned martial artist records 60th Guinness World Record

Pakistan’s renowned martial artist Irfan Mehsood has achieved another milestone after his 60th Guinness World Record was approved for the highest standing jump carrying a 60lb pack. The previous record for the highest standing jump was held by Silvio Sabba of Italy. Irfan said the highest standing jump he did carrying a 60 Ib pack was 96 cm (3 ft 1.79 in). 

Pakistan’s Ayla Majid becomes first South Asian woman in a century to be appointed as VP ACCA

Pakistan’s Ayla Majid was elected as the vice president of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) on Wednesday. With the appointment, Majid has made history as she is the first South Asian woman to be elected for this global position in ACCA’s 118-year history. Former foreign office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri shared the news on his official Twitter handle and congratulated Majid for the achievement.

Pakistan’s Babar Masih wins bronze at World Amateur Snooker Championship 2022

Pakistani cueist Babar Masih won bronze medal in the World Amateur Snooker Championship 2022 in Turkey. Masih could not make it to the final round as he was defeated by Japan’s player Lim Kok Leong by 5-3 in semi-final of the championship played in Antalya city. Earlier this week, the Pakistan player defeated the Indian player Brijesh Damani to qualify for the semi-final round.

Pakistani fighter Asim Khan wins silver at the Asian Pacific MMA Championship 2022

Pakistan’s Asim Khan on Sunday won the silver medal in Asian Pacific MMA Championship 2022, held in Pattaya, Thailand. He won the medal in 57kg category. On the other hand, Pakistan Shahzaib khan got bronze medal in 77 kg. This is one of the biggest MMA Championship in Asia. Asim Khan defeated the Thailand fighter in the semi-final. 

NUST and QAU become only two Pakistani universities to make it to Asia’s top 100

The National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST), and Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) are the two Pakistani universities to be ranked among the top 100 varsities from the Asia region. According to Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings 2023, Islamabad-based public research university NUST moved up seven places to secure the 67th spot. NUST is followed by Quaid-i-Azam University which makes it to the 95th spot.

Pakistani table tennis player Sarooj Sajid wins gold in Saudi Games 2022

A young Pakistani athlete, Sarooj Sajid, had won a gold medal for table tennis in the prestigious Saudi Games 2022. The biggest national sporting event of the kingdom, the games were launched under the Vision 2030 program which, among other things, also places significant emphasis on sports and physical activities to produce a new generation of athletes.
