Pakistan finished seventh at the 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Championship after beating the four-time champions South Korea in straight sets on Sunday. Pakistan defeated South Korea in straight sets for the second time in this tournament. Throughout the event, Pakistan was considered one of the most unpredictable sides. Under newly hired coach Rahman Mohammadirad, Pakistan won back-to-back matches over Thailand and Hong Kong.

Consequently, Pakistan finished in second place in their Group B after losing to holders Iran in straight sets. Iran defended their title and won their fourth overall title in a 3-0 victory over Japan in the final. Iran and Japan qualified for the 2022 World Championships to be held in Russia.
