Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan is in sensational form in this year’s T20I series. He is consistently scoring big runs for Pakistan and leading the side to victory. In the history of the Twenty20 Internationals, he is the first player to score 1000+ runs in a calendar year. Mohammad Rizwan reached this important milestone T20 World Cup semifinal against Australia in Dubai.
Prior to Rizwan, Ireland’s Paul Stirling held the record for most runs in a calendar year in T20I. The player scored 748 runs in just 20 innings in 2019, at an average of 41.55 and strike rate of 140.60.
