Babar Azam breaks Virat Kohli’s record to become fastest batsman to 2500 T20I runs

Babar Azam breaks Virat Kohli’s record to become the fastest batsman to reach 2500 runs in the shortest form of international cricket. The feat was accomplished during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup semi-final match against Australia. Kohli had taken 68 innings to reach the milestone while Babar took only 62 innings.

Babar went on to surpass the 2500 run mark in T20 internationals against Australia in the semi-final match. The Babar-Rizwan partnership also set a new T20 record when they scored 400+ runs.
