New Zealand’s highest honor for civilian bravery was awarded to two Muslims who charged toward the gunman to try to stop his massacre. In the 2019 incident at two Christchurch mosques, 51 people were killed. It appears that both Naeem Rashid and Abdul Aziz played a crucial role in saving others. The gunman shot Dr. Naeem Rashid dead when he tried to tackle him. 

PM Imran inaugurates Skardu international airport, Jaglot-Skardu road

During a day-long visit to the region, Imran Khan inaugurated the Skardu International Airport and Jaglot-Skardu road. Skardu’s airport had previously been used only for domestic flights. The airport’s status, however, was elevated on December 2 when it began welcoming international flights as well. The Prime Minister spoke about the airport’s elevation to an international airport at Municipal Stadium Skardu.

UNESCO includes Arabic calligraphy on its list of world heritage

Arabic calligraphy, an important tradition in the Arab and Islamic worlds, has been added to the Intangible Cultural Heritage list by UNESCO. The nomination was submitted by 16 Muslim-majority countries, led by Saudi Arabia, to the UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation. Another American hunts Markhor in Pakistan, paying Rs20 million for permit

US national hunted his first markhor of the current year in Pakistan during trophy season. Permits to hunt the wild goats, which are listed on the IUCN Red List as near threatened, were sold for about Rs20 million. Local media reports quoting Wild Life officials said that Michael Joseph, an American citizen, was the first person to shoot Markhor this year.
