Interior Ministry plans to open a women’s market in Islamabad soon

The Interior Ministry has decided to create a women’s market for them to operate their businesses and stalls in Islamabad. Sheikh Rashid, the Minister of Interior, announced this during a recent meeting with a delegation of the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.⁠ Government officials are working to promote women’s role in everyday life.

Furthermore, he discussed plans to provide facilities so that women can run their own businesses in Islamabad. Sheikh Rashid believes that economic activities must involve women in order to contribute to development. He noted that several proposals for social and economic uplift of women have been made in the current budget.
