CPEC Thakot-Havelian project wins ENR’s best project award for its outstanding design

Engineering News-Record, an American weekly magazine, has named the Karakoram Highway Phase-II (Thakot-Havelian), as the winner of the Global Best Projects Juried Competition. The Thakot-Havelian project is an essential component of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). ENR’s 9th annual Global Best Projects competition was selected by an expert panel of industry veterans.

The ENR is considered one of the most authoritative publications in the construction industry. The project includes 60 large bridges, 45 middle and small bridges, 11 flyovers, 464 culverts, and 40 underpasses. Additionally, there are six tunnels, three interchanges, two service areas, and three tunnel management stations.
