Canadian-Pakistani actor Armeena Khan took to Twitter over the weekend and called out Bollywood star, Priyanka Chopra for her silence over the violence in New Delhi. She shared a photo from Chopra’s wedding reception which was attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Quantico star was appointed a UNICEF goodwill ambassador and came under fire over a tweet she posted amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan in Kashmir.

Wedding bells are finally ringing for actors Sajal Aly and Ahad Raza Mir as the couple began handing out wedding invites. One of the guests is British Deputy High Commissioner Mike Nithavrianakis who later tweeted sharing pictures with the couple and said that it was wonderful meeting Aly and Mir to receive an invitation to their wedding.

Naimal Khawar Khan  is all praises for  Prime Minister Imran Khan for his stance on treating minorities as equal citizens of Pakistan. Hamza Ali Abbasi condemns violence against Muslims in Delhi

Former actor Hamza Ali Abbasi has urged the international community to take notice of the violence against Muslims in India’s capital New Delhi. A mosque was set on fire and 18 people were killed on Tuesday after supporters of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) attacked anti-CAA protest sit-ins. Taking to Twitter, Abbasi slammed the Hindutva activists’ atrocities against the peaceful protesters. He urged the world powers to take notice of human rights violations in India.

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan stands up for Pakistani student

Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan stood up for a Pakistani student after his cousin tweeted about a bullying incident at university where he was told off for his stutter. Mariam Zulfiqar said that her cousin was giving a presentation when the lecturer told him to drop out if he had trouble speaking properly after which his confidence was shattered and refused to attend university.

The news was initially shared by a local entertainment website that uploaded a picture of a cake which had ‘Ahad aur Sajal ki dholki’ written over it. Tagging Sajal and Ahad on the post, the portal wrote, “Let the wedding festivities begin.”

Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt will finally be releasing on Eid ul Fitr, producer Ammara Hikmat confirmed in an Instagram post. Just two days ago, Hikmat had hinted that the film’s release date is not too far. The film is said to be Pakistan’s most expensive production to date.
