Apart from some supportive followers, most users made personal remarks on the singers. A petition filed against the screening of Sarmad Khoosat’s film Zindagi Tamasha was withdrawn on Thursday. The petition was filed on Monday by a man named Chaudhry Qadeer Ahmed. He claimed that the film hurt religious sentiment and violated Pemra’s rules and it should not be released in Pakistan. The court remarked how can the petitioner comment on something that no one has seen it as the film is not released yet.
Sonya Hussyn revealed during an interview with Iffat Omar that she turned down Meray Paas Tum Ho’s lead role of Mehwish for all the good reasons. She mentioned that she cannot accept seeing women in such negative light. The last episode of the hit TV show Meray Paas Tum Ho is set to air without any hurdles on Saturday night after a civil court in Lahore dismissed a petition against the screening of the finale. After statements and documents from representatives from the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority and ARY Digital were examined, the show received clearance from the censor board of Punjab to screen in cinemas proving that there was nothing inappropriate in it
Actor Yasir Hussain has received the ‘Best Chef Certificate’ from his wife Iqra Aziz Hussain for his ‘Pyar Ka Pulao’. Yasir Hussain cooked pulao his wife, Iqra during their honeymoon in Sri Lanka. Iqra shared a photo on Instagram awarding him the certificate. Yasir also shared the same photo on his Instagram story and wrote, “Pulao jis pe mujhy yeh aizaaz mila”.
The film Zindagi Tamasha, despite being cleared by all three censor boards for premier will now be assessed by Council of Islamic Ideology. The decision was taken by the federal government after Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) threatened to create unrest in the country if the film is to be released. Following the government’s decision, the TLP has decided to defer the protests.
