Inspired by Dirilis: Ertugrul, KTN to release its own historical drama

Dirilis: Ertugrul fever is far from over in Pakistan, even so the series has  inspired a local channel to produce a drama based on Sindh’s history. Kawish Television Network (KTN) Entertainment just released a teaser for their upcoming drama, which will be called ‘Raj Rani’. In the trailer actors clad in metallic looking costumes can be seen doing some intense sword fighting.

Three years later, India’s major channel turns to Pakistan for quality content

After imposing a ban on entertainment content from Pakistan in 2016, India’s Zee Entertainment Enterprise has decided to broadcast Pakistani shows worldwide again. The shows will be broadcast through Zindagi, a tab available on its digital app Zee5. Zindagi will not only feature Pakistani content already aired but also roll out fresh shows by engaging Pakistani producers, directors and actors. 

Esra Bilgic AKA Halime Sultan joins QMobile as its ambassador

The most sought after celebrity in Pakistan, Esra Bilgic, known for her role as Halime Sultan has joined QMobile as its ambassador. Popular for her role in famous Turkish series Dirilis: Ertugrul, Esra had hinted that she will be working with few Pakistani brands. QMobile shared the news on social media, adding that Esra will be ambassador for View Max Pro series.

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for COVID-19

Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, 77, tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday and was admitted to hospital in Mumbai. Amitabh’s son, Abhishek Bachchan has also tested positive for the virus. The father son duo took to Twitter to announce the news and have stated their symptoms are mild. Big B also requested everyone who came in close proximity to him to get tested. 

Superhero of Pakistani heritage, Ms Marvel joins video game with Avengers

The Muslim-American teenager of Pakistani heritage, Ms. Marvel aka Kamala Khan, has joined the Marvel’s Avengers for a blockbuster video game. Ms. Marvel, who has shape-shifting abilities, is the first Pakistani and Muslim representation in Marvel Cinematic Universe. The highly-anticipated character will also be hitting the silver screens soon. Kamala Khan was co-created by Marvel editor and director Sana Amanat in 2014.
